Puede que sea algo frívolo hablar de entradas para conciertos con la que le está cayendo a las redes P2P en el país de las libertades, pero este tema también es preocupante. Live8 es una inciativa que exige a los ocho países más poderosos del mundo un mayor esfuerzo para acabar con la pobreza, y para hacer oir su voz se han organizado varios conciertos-protesta en todo el mundo coincidiendo con la próxima reunión del G-8 en Escocia.
David Sifry anuncia hoy en su blog que 50 bloggers recibirán entradas para poder asistir a los conciertos de Filadelfia, París, Roma, Berlín y Tokio. Para hacerte con una de ellas, sigue las instrucciones…
1. Go to one.org and watch the video and sign the declaration. Get up to speed on what Live8 is all about.
2. Go to live8.technorati.com and put one of the badges on your blog. It is pretty easy to do, you just need to add the code on the badge page to your weblog template.
3. Go and read the posts about Live8 on Joe Trippi’s blog and on Powerline – this is a nonpartisan effort.
4. Pick the show that’s nearest to you – and send an email to me, Joe, and to John with the following information: Your name and age. Your blog name and URL. Which show you want to go to (please only pick one show), and Your snail mail address.
5. Go and blog about Live 8, and tag your posts with the Live 8 tag (instructions on how to do this are here). You’ve got to put the badge up on your blog and have posted at least once about Live 8 with the tag to get selected.
6. Keep an eye on your mailbox. Given the incredible time crunch, we’ll let you know what’s up no later than Thursday June 30th.
7. Tell all your friends. The goal here is to get 100,000 blog posts out before the G8 summit, and to get as many people out there blogging about Live 8, third world debt relief, the plight of the hungry and poor everywhere and what we can do about it.

Interesante propuesta. Esto demuestra que la blogosfera se mueve en todas las direcciones.
Me parece realmente genial cuanlquier iniciativa, sea del tipo que sea, que se manifieste en contra de la pobreza, da igual que sean conciertos o manifestaciones, el fin es bueno. No creo que se deba hablar de frivolidad. Mas frivolo es no hacer nada….
El Comité por la Anulación de la Deuda del Tercer Mundo (CADTM) ha hecho público un comunicado que discrepa de esta iniciativa, señalando que la estrategia del Live 8 “no es un buen camino”?. Sobre cuatro puntos, este Comité, dá las razones de sus discrepancia, de las que destaco que “la elección de los músicos fue subjetiva y bajo criterios mercantiles”?; el coste de los eventos es de 38 millones de euros y la financiación viene de “la contribución a empresas multinacionales”?, las mismas empresas que presionan e imponen sus condiciones a los países del Sur desde hace décadas; y la cultura anglosajona del entretenimiento, fabricada por EEUU y Europa, es la “valorizada por el Live 8″³. Sin embargo, al mismo tiempo que se desarrollaban los conciertos, el músico Peter Gabriel preparó uno alternativo: el “˜Africa calling”˜, al suroeste de Inglaterra y con un cartel integrado por artistas africanos, que ha tenido una influencia en los medios de comunicación muchísimo más discreta.
Lo que no cuestiona nadie: la música es un medio idóneo para compartir con la gente justas reivindicaciones.

En una guerra la primera víctima es la verdad.
Dando por descontado que las principales guerras en el mundo se dan fundamentalmente por el dominio de los recursos; prueba más que fehaciente, es que no resulta casual, que los principales implicados ?diríase calumniados- son poseedores de recursos energéticos importantes o más bien vitales para la supremacía. Llámese Venezuela e Irán, como puntos de mira que cobran la atención mundial en la actualidad.
En una guerra, el principal frente de acción, no es el bélico, es el mental; pues quien definitivamente inclina la balanza, es la opinión pública, y esta, se nutre y se impone, gracias a los medios de información, por supuesto.
Visto de esta manera, bien vale la pena preguntarse, cual es la fuente poseedora de la verdad; y si tenemos un ojo crítico, casi invariablemente, llegaremos a la conclusión, que quien definitivamente no la tiene, son los medios masivos de comunicación.
