London Metroblogs

Just taken mobile calls from my very scared and frightened 11 year old and her equally distraught mother who are caught up in this morning”™s events. Luckily, my daughter made it to her school in Westminster and my wife has manage to arrived at a hospital appointment at Barts.

Five tube stations. Three buses. One letterbox. You know, maybe we *should* have let the French win the Olympic Games after all. Didn”™t know they”™d be such spoilsports.

On The Move

The entire London underground Tube system has been shut down, stranding hundreds of thousands of people trying to get to work this Thursday morning. By 10am people trying to take bus services into the city were told that the whole of Central London is being shut down and they would only get as far as London Bridge.
